Reconstruction Reveals Officer's Responsibility in Shooting Incident

A group of organizations called "Police Map" has identified the person responsible for the shot that severely injured photographer Pablo Grillo during a retirees' demonstration. Through a detailed spatial reconstruction, it was determined that the shooter was a First Corporal of the National Gendarmerie named Guerrero.

Matías, a member of this network of citizen care, explained that the group's objective is to inform the public about cases of abuse by security forces. On this occasion, the reconstruction made it possible to identify the person responsible for the impact on Pablo's head, contradicting previous statements by the Minister of National Security.

To carry out this work, the collaboration of forensic physics experts such as Guillermo Pregliasco and Martín Oneto was obtained. The gathered material, which includes videos and high-quality images, can be used in judicial investigations to clarify the facts.

The Police Map urges to archive audiovisual material related to the actions of security forces to have objective documentation in cases of abuse. The network consists of various organizations and individuals committed to human rights, seeking to counteract police violence in the City of Buenos Aires.

Matías recounted the process of collecting videos, images, and drones to reconstruct the incident. The collective work allowed determining the trajectory of the projectile that injured Pablo Grillo, identifying the responsible party and revealing irregularities in the use of non-lethal weapons by the security forces.
